In this culmination of her Westward Hearts series Tracey brings us Ginger’s story. Raised by her outlaw father with no other women in her life she’s a bit rough around the edges. When her older brother who she adores is injured in the midst of a stage hold-up she begs the doctor on the stage to help but he refuses. As she becomes a woman she holds a chip on her shoulder towards the gentleman and when the wagon train he’s serving as medical staff for makes a stop in her small town she up and joins them with a mind to make him pay for the loss of the only person who ever showed her any affection. However there’s more to the story of that day so long ago that only her brother or the doctor could tell. In addition to the rest of the story about her brother the doc and Ginger end up finding out other things about each other along the way and when her Pa and his gang show up on their tail she wants nothing to do with them and their scheme to finagle the money out from under the only member of the train who has any worth the effort. Will the outlaws’ scheme succeed, will Ginger go back to her old ways, will revenge or love win out in the end? Read this capstone to a wonderful historical series that chronicles the stories of three women who head west trying to outrun their troubles and their sullied pasts for a new start away from it all.
