Then Along Came an Angel (Anthology) – My Review

This is only my second “Christmas” book to read this year although I’ve got about a dozen of them sitting here waiting to be cracked open. While this book isn’t stories of or about Christmas for the most part it is all about angels (something we associate with Christmas because they were present that night). This isn’t solely a book to read at Christmas and shouldn’t be relegated to the holiday storage bin with the rest of the once a year trappings however. These are everyday stories of angels in both spiritual and human forms but in all cases fully palpable to those they engaged with their visitation whether they were in a physically tangible body or not every author I’ve read in this anthology indicates that the person or people the angel was there for in every instance had a sense of some presence even if there was nothing to be seen, heard or otherwise registered by one of the five senses. The stories range from accounts of protection, rescue and calming peace to a presence that guided a loved one on after death or brought the comfort of knowing their deceased loved one was safe in the eternal home that Christ told the disciples He was leaving to prepare for each one of us with His Father. Emotions in the stories range from fear, grief and uncertainty to laughter and love. Some even address the healing power of our heavenly Father’s love exhibited through His messengers in our lives when earthly events or humans leave us craving something we cannot find anywhere but in our relationship with Him. I look forward to exploring more of these stories more deeply when I am in need of encouragement or a reminder of my Father’s true nature. (ISBN#9781414104430, 240pp, $16.99)

  1. Thank you for sharing the review about this anthology, which sounds really interesting! I definitely believe in angels, and enjoy reading about people’s experience with them. I’ll check out the blog tour also.

  2. Thank you for featuring the angel book. I hope that the stories bless you as you continue to read through the book. God bless!

  3. You did a great job with the review, I’m on the book tour and wanted to take a peak at what you had to say.

  4. I felt this book was very uplifting. Every story re-instilled that there is so much more out there that we can’t even try to explain.
