Week 14: Amy I know you said no more than 5 but I’m afraid my list ran away from me so it might go over and I even added the caveat that I would only list the ones I want to buy an extra lender copy of because I can’t stand to part with my only copy even temporarily.
So here goes the keepers on my shelf:
Time Masters Book One: The Call by Geralyn Beauchamp
The Novels of the Gifted series by Lisa T Bergren
Daughters of Boston Series by Julie Lessman
Sisters Ink series by Rebeca Seitz
Beyond the Reflection’s Edge by Bryan Davis
The Centurion’s Wife by Davis Bunn and Janette Oke
King Raven series by Stephen Lawhead

This is only a start but I already went over the limits but then my shelves are out of room for books and my collection still continues to grow.

Week 12: Ahhhgg so many books I am waiting on and I’m not 100% sure on publication dates yet for some so those may not end up being 2009 books.
Time Masters Book Two: The Prophecy by Geralyn Beauchamp
A Passion Denied by Julie Lessman
Love’s First Light by Jamie Carie
Sweet Waters by Julie Carobini
Scrapping Plans and Book 4 of the Sisters Ink series (I can’t remember the title at the moment) by Rebeca Seitz
Eternity’s Edge and Book 3 of Bryan Davis’ series
The Swiss Courier by Tricia Goyer and Mike Yorkey
Nothing But Trouble (PJ Sugar Book 1) by Susan May Warren
Tuck by Stephen Lawhead

and I’m sure I’m forgetting something but at least its a start.

Week 11: There are always prior favorites I want to reread. I have a gargantuan TBR still growing and my wish lists are even worse primarily fiction and I’m finding myself drawn to more mainstream books as well that I’d like to check out. Since my blog has been mostly Christian Fiction reviews to this point I think it would be a good move to branch out a bit and vary the terrain with some Mainstream fiction over the next year. I would like to read the Bible over the course of the year and a friend hooked me up with a group who is on a reading plan to do just that and encourage each other as well as bringing up discussion points, questions and thoughts along the way via email since not everyone is in the same geographical location. I’d also like to post at least 1-2 reviews a week minimum.

Week 10: My Favorite Books of 2008 reading list include:
Time Masters Book One: The Call by Geralyn Beauchamp
Daughters of Boston series by Julie Lessman
Novels of the Gifted Series by Lisa T Bergren
Auralia’s Colors by Jeffrey Overstreet
Beyond the Reflection’s Edge by Bryan Davis
French Twist series by Sandra Byrd
Sisters Ink series by Rebeca Seitz
Change and Cherish series by Jane Kirkpatrick

I’m sure I’m missing something but this is a good start.

  1. I would definitely have to agree with you for Let Them Eat Cake (French Twist series) as a favorite book for 2008. I haven’t gotten to read book 2 yet, but it won’t be much longer before I do! :o)

  2. I have Time Masters but haven’t had a chance to read it! Have read the first 2 of Davis’ books and it sounds like this Fall book 3 will come out. Am reading my first Lawhead book “Hood”. Bought it at Christmas and found out FIRST will be touring book 3 next month! YIKES Each book is like 450+ pages long. Just got “Scarlet” yesterday! I need an entire week to read them with the time I have to review the last book! 🙂

    Thanks for sharing,
    Mimi B
