This 2nd installment of The Turtle Creek Editions is a heartwarming romance that shows how love can heal even those hearts that have broken over it in the past. Jodie comes to town as a new reporter for the local paper with innovative ideas for matchmaking on the day of love but a determination not to let her own heart be vulnerable to anyone again. Josh, the town vet is being cornered by his over zealous secretary at the clinic for a much more personal connection than he is interested in. Della is convinced he is her husband to be and will go to nearly any lengths to insure there are no snags in her trap. Little does she realize that her own insecurities coupled with the fact that her personality and pushiness just isn’t appealing to Josh in that way will sabotage any chances of even starting a relationship with him.

When Josh happens across Jodie trying to rescue a stray dog from the middle of Turtle Creek’s main street after it is injured by a hapless driver unaware of the animal’s presence, they both begin to connect in ways that neither one has for a very long time both with one another and with God. Inevitably they fight the strengthening feelings that they expect to only end in disaster for their hearts once more. Will these two young people come to find that love has mind of its own and cannot be circumvented even when their own hearts are at stake? Can the risk of loving again ever be worth the possible heartaches that come when things don’t work out? Can a tiny little canine be the catalyst to bring these two together in a way nothing else ever could? Will Jodie’s ideas for the paper and local Valentine’s dance prove worthy and succeed at bringing people together or will someone succeed at destroying Jodi’s dreams and her chances at love all at the same time?
