I came into this mid-series literally –LOL which for me is out of the norm and I still want to catch up on the rest of Candace’s adventures in The Zone but for those tight on time or just wanting to read part of the series, no worries you can pick this one up at any point despite the stories being chronological there isn’t enough back story from books one and two that is needed for the subsequent books to leave you lost if you picked up one by itself.

In Winter of Candy Canes, Candace once again seems to be a glutton for the punishment of seasonal work at The Zone. This time she gets saddled with the responsibility of being one of Santa’s elves for the duration of the celebration at the park. It sounds simple enough to her but the grapevine claims it is the highest stress assignment and can be rather dangerous to one’s wellbeing. For Candace who seems to be prone to disasters according to what I know of the previous two books, this sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. What is all the fuss from her friends at the park about and will Candace escape the Christmas season of amusement park antics unscathed? Check out this enjoyable installment that covers situations many teens face including part time jobs, friends, romance, dating and everything else that goes along with being in high school. If you’ve already read any of this series be sure and reacquaint yourself with Candace and her entourage in the rest of it including this book. (ISBN#9780310717522, 208pp, $9.99)

Don’t forget about the rest of the series either: The Summer of Cotton Candy (Book 1), The Fall of Candy Corn (Book 2), and The Spring of Candy Apples (Book 4). Check my friend Deena’s Blog archives for reviews of the first two books which I haven’t yet had the opportunity to read and read my review of Book 4 in today’s posts.
