On the heels of the boyfriend fiascos in Stealing Bradford, this third installment throws another kink into the lives of these teen girls when they are competing against each other and choosing camps in the battle for Homecoming Queen. One of the contestants ends up being so unwittingly with no recourse and little desire for the office but in the vein of the previous books there is likely a lesson even for her in all of this. Bad-girl Taylor continues to wreak havoc amongst the girls with her partying tendencies and a disappearing act that nearly gives everyone else a stroke when no one is able to locate her.

Will anyone ever get past the quills with Taylor and have the opportunity to earn her trust that has been so severely misused she refuses to risk again? Can Mrs Carter put aside aspirations long enough to see the bomb about to detonate right in her own home? (ISBN#9780310714903, 224pp, $9.99)
