The Blackabys bring us yet another book packed with spiritual dynamite as well as some thought provoking and convicting words on our own walk with the Lord. This culminates a three book series of which I have only read the last two but both were powerful little books and beg a more in-depth reading when I can manage to do so. This volume addresses our role in the relationship with God and His role through the Holy Spirit whom He sent to guide us in walking that relationship and doing His will. Focus is a key component addressed in a variety of contexts in this book as well as motives and attitude. The Blackabys also do a significant amount of discoursing here on our choices and response to the directions that we receive and how that affects subsequent assignments and our ability to even recognize the calling. We must be open to that call whatever it may be and respond promptly regardless of logistical obstacles we may perceive. I think for me that trust is the hardest part to manage because something looks impossible in the human perspective so how in the world could it ever work out properly even if God is the one driving it forward. Of course this limits an omnipotent Creator who is capable of the impossible if we would merely let Him do His thing with us as the physical conduit for accomplishing that task.
