Daughters of Boston Giveaway

Well friends here’s the contest I promised and Julie has already been posting about around the web.

I have a second set of all 3 Daughters of Boston books so am giving away the spares. Three winners will each get one of the books.

So to enter leave a comment here with your choice of book and something about a character or story in one of the books that caught your attention. If you haven’t read any of them yet, you can still discover quite a stash of ideas here in my interview today as well as a more general interview you’ll find in the left sidebar links under author interviews plus reviews of the first two books I’ve posted.

You have until next Tuesday the 26th to leave your comments. Questions to Julie are welcome here or on the interview post as well. I won’t promise but I suspect she’ll be dropping by every so often to check out comments and questions. On the 27th I’ll draw three names, one for each book and contact the winners. Be sure to leave an email address to contact you – disguised from spammers of course. Oh and due to cost of postage I can only send to US/Canada for winners. Sorry my readers and friends from overseas.

  1. One of the characters that caught my attention is Brady in A Passion Denied. Like him I have struggled in my life to accept God’s forgiveness…I feel like I don’t deserve his love and forgiveness for things I’ve done in my past. So I would love to read Brady’s story and see how he finally comes to accept this marvelous gift we all recieve through Jesus.
Thanks so much for the chance to win! I would love to be entered for book #3 ‘A Passion Denied’
Sorry if I’m posting multiple comments, I’m having trouble leaving comments on your page.

  2. Hmmm this is a hard one since I love so many things about Julie’s books but I probably have to say that I love John…and that’s just from Book 2, I haven’t read Denied yet! He just seems SO passionate about his faith and not to mention HOT to boot πŸ˜‰ The first thing that caught my eye about these books however was the cover of the first book, a Passion Most Pure…Collin was soooo cute! So I bought it, read it, and LOVED it and passed it on…unfortunately it was never “passed” back to me, so if you could enter me to win Book 1 I’d appreciate it! Great blog!

  3. Hi,

In reading about Faith’s quiet, gentle spoken ways, I now know, after reading about Charity, why she compared Charity to BC (Before Christ) and Faith (After Christ).

The better of the two is Faith, but I have to agree that I was more of a Charity BC. I prefer Faith, although it’s a ‘harder’ life learning to rely on the Lord to redeem the time than chasing after one wants. It’s my challenge.

My choice of books would be either #2 or #3, as I have #1.

Thanks for the opportunity to win Julie’s books.

  4. In reading about Faith and Charity’s characters, I now see why Julie refers to Faith as her AC (after Christ) and Charity as her BC (before Christ). I would agree that Faith would be the one to strive to be like. I would also have to agree that Charity was my BC, as well.

I would love to win either book #2 or #3, or all.

  5. My dad recently bought me A Passion Most Pure, which I have been enjoying immensely (the characters, as well as their feelings, are so real)! I also won A Passion Redeemed recently, which I am very thankful for! If it’s not being too greedy, I would be thankful for a chance to win the third book. From what I’ve read so far, Julie Lessman is a wonderful author! And thanks for posting the interview!

  6. Oops! I didn’t leave my e-mail! Sorry! It’s:

    Thanks again!

  7. I’d like to be entered for book #1… It’s my favorite! πŸ™‚
I really loved Faith, she has a good head on her shoulders!

  8. I am interested in the interplay between Faith and Charity O’Connor. I always love the gentle Christian characters, but the opposite type make such interesting characters and storylines.

If I am fortunate enough to win a book, I’d like either #2 or #3. And thank you so much for the giveaway!

  11. CAROLYNN, I am so sorry that you have “struggled to accept God’s forgiveness” in your life, and I can see why A Passion Denied might minister more to you than some people, so I hope it blesses you, my friend.

RENEE … oh, honey, if you love Brady NOW, I can’t imagine how crazy you will about him after you read Denied!!! πŸ™‚ And, yeah, Collin is cute, isn’t he??? πŸ™‚

LINDA, I imagine quite a few of us Christians have very different “BC”s from our “AC”s, at least I know I do, and it sounds like you too. How blessed are we that we are new creatures in Christ Jesus!!!

AMBER (BG), girl, you can be as greedy as you want when you’re talking about my books, okay? πŸ™‚

REBORNBUTTERFLY … it’s funny because everybody seems to have a different favorite of the three books, which is fun. Mine was A Passion Redeemed for such a long time, but I think A Passion Denied may be edging it out … πŸ™‚

CAROLE, if you like the interplay between Faith and Charity, then you will really get a kick out of A Passion Denied, because there is a lot of fun banter between the two of them while they “plot” with Lizzie to win Brady’s favor.

EMMA, thank you for your kind comment and for entering the contest — good luck!

BUTTERFLIELOVER3 … You have a good week, too, and just maybe it will include a free book! πŸ™‚

    Hugs,
    Julie
