Book of Dreams by Davis Bunn – Giveaway

Howard Books (October 4, 2011)
Description: For Dr. Elena Burroughs, life is divided into two chapters—before and after the death of her husband. Today marks the point that her span of being a wife is equal to her span of being a widow. Even her success as a psychologist and her worldwide acclaim for a book on the interpretation of dreams is dimmed by an unspoken If only. Then a new patient arrives, one so private only her first name is given. Impeccably dressed and escorted by two bodyguards, Sandra recounts a frightening series of recurrent nightmares. Elena agrees to consider her case more carefully, convinced that something ominous may be at work here. Elena’s interpretation of her dreams confirms that, indeed, the new patient and her family confront a powerful global network of dangerous forces. As the story unfolds, they face a key question of the Christian life: How do you understand and fulfill the will of God? (ISBN#9781416556701, 352pp, $14.99)

Contest Rules & Details:
Howard books has kindly offered a copy of this book to one of my readers. There is a catch though. They were only offering a limited number of giveaways and to get you the chance at one I had to come up with a creative contest idea to choose my winner.

Here’s how to enter:
You have until 11:59PM Pacific time Saturday October 29th to enter. Entry time is determined by the time stamp on the entry itself. In this case that would be the email you send with your entry paragraph.

Before the deadline stated above I must receive from you an email (use the contact form – see button at top of page) with a paragraph sharing how God has used dreams in your life DIRECTLY (not a family member or friend) with a maximum of 150-200 words. The paragraph must recount the following:
~Describe the dream/dreams pertinent to the experience
~Share the direction/lesson that dream/dreams presented
~Explain how the direction/lesson from the dream/dreams has been integrated into your life since the experience
NOTE:Please only use real experiences for the entries – no fiction this time and only your own stories

I will judge entries based on:
~Writing Mechanics (you have two weeks there is plenty of time to have people help you with grammar, spelling, sentence structure, flow, and readability before you submit)
~Presentation including creativity (just because it’s a true story doesn’t mean it has to be boring or choppy “just the facts maam”, write to hold the reader’s attention and make them want to read more)
~Content (Were all the elements of the entry criteria met, did the story make sense or were there holes)

After Oct 30 I will post an update indicating when I expect to have read and judged entries so those who have submitted an entry can have an idea when to expect to hear if their entry was chosen as the winner.
