BBAW Day 3 – Why I Blog About Books

There are several reasons I blog and why Books are my main topic. Today I will highlight just a few of the most meaningful.

First and foremost it allows me to connect and interact with others who have similar interests and perhaps even one day meet some of them in person. Secondly I get to meet authors and other readers via virtual interactions and discuss books and bookish type things or just whatever comes up in conversation. Through all that I get to make new friends. I can share about books I love and nobody interrupts my wordy style but if they get tired of my raving or ranting on and on over a book they can click on to something else in my blog or go visit someone else. I can be immersed in the world of books as much as I wish when time permits whether it be reading them, writing/talking about them/reading what others have to say/or just being around other bookish types. Lastly but certainly not least I get to help authors promote wonderful books to the world at large and hopefully make a splash with them.

There are certainly a myriad of other reasons for book blogging that I didn’t address but these are just a few of the ones that stand out for me.

  1. Being a part of a community of like-minded people is such a wonderful feeling. And I love being able to write about the books I read too. There’s so much to love about book blogging. It can be hard work, but it’s worth it.
