No matter what you look for in a book, chances are this one will be the ticket for you. Mystery, suspense, Biblical insights for life in a world where technology and science are taking over despite inherent uncertainties and risks that could endanger lives rather than saving or prolonging them, and relationships amongst humans as well as that of humans to God blend together in a story that will entice readers to keep turning the pages. Twists and turns in the plot appear around each new corner and parallel storylines keep the readers on their feet. Predictability is never a concern in this novel which makes me one happy reader. Hancock’s worlds and characters may eventually collide in ways I have yet to discover but I am already invested in the characters of both worlds and would hate to see them harmed by those scientific minds attempting to dictate things that only God knows or has control of. The processes and experiments described seem to have unintended side effects and can turn on their subjects randomly. While I’d love to tell you all I know I’ll save that for discussion with others who have read the book and leave you to read it and find out for yourselves. (ISBN#9780764203282, 496pp, $14.99)
